Rating: 5 stars I had a fantastic experience at Nawabis Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – full of authentic flavors and perfectly spiced. The katal (Jackfruit) biryani, Malai Soya Chaap and Dahi kebabs were standout dishes. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambience was cozy and well-decorated, making it a great place to dine with family or friends. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys quality Indian cuisine!
I ordered the gelauti kebab! It was soo soft! The best lamb kebabs I've ever had. Their butter chicken is and their chicken mughlai is . So basically if you want spicy but not too spicy than go for butter chicken but if you're up for a blast... indian level spicy... than go for chicken mughali! Lastly, their garlic naans are really tasty and very soft.
Absolutely blown away by this place! I’ve tried many Indian restaurants across the GTA, but The Nawabi’s truly offers something special. It’s the first time I’ve had authentic Lucknowi royal cuisine in Canada, and the flavors were incredible — rich, balanced, and deeply traditional. We started with the Mango Mojito and Rose Shirin, both refreshing and unique. The Mutton Galauti Kebab literally melted in my mouth — it’s worth the visit just for that. The Chicken Angara and Burrah Tikka were perfectly spiced with a beautiful smoky finish. For mains, we had the Methi Malai Maharaja, Kaju Mushroom Reshmi, and Malai Seekh Biryani with Lancha Paratha — everything was so flavorful and beautifully presented. And I have to mention the desserts — the Paan Mousse was such a fun twist, and the Gulabjamun with Rabdi was warm, sweet, and comforting. The ambiance is elegant and calming, with interiors that make you feel like you're dining in a palace. Staff were polite, well-informed, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, upscale Indian food in the Oshawa. Can’t wait to return with family!
Nawabis is a.good place to eat The food was delicious and authentic. Freshly made hot, and well spicy. I've never been to India, however I felt I was there. The ambiance is beautiful, from the dishes, to the utensils, to wall paper. The waitress was knowledgeable about the food. I would go back again
Giving 5 Stars to this great Indian Restaurant as we recently hosted our Granddaughters Baptism here and we were treated so well right from when we met the Chef and Owner Rasheed who made us feel welcome with his genuine listening to our needs and to be honest the price point for the event was very reasonable given that the ambience is really beautiful and the homelike feel with padded velvet chairs and glass table settings with super cutlery and cloth napkins the decor is lovely and can be adapted for your special occasion accordingly. Supriya the Owners wife was very obliging and flexible as well. The food was AMAZING!! I love to see restaurants that house cook their curries, this was it! We enjoyed the Lunch Tray options and there was enough to take home as well. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but when you enter in its lovely and very welcoming feel. It is only slightly cooler but still its ok if you have a larger gathering. Would recommend the owners to possibly add a change table in the washroom area for babies or young children. My family and friends were very impressed by this little gem of a place in Oshawa. Highly recommend checking them out! Congratulations to Rasheed and Supriya for their hospitality at Nawabi's! I truly believe this is the best Indian food in GTA. I am no blogger or anything, I live in halton region. Went to Oshawa and tried it. This is the best Indian food, without a doubt. Made with lot of love and affection. Hospitality is just Amazing. Mohamed helped us with the ordering. Whatever he is said was 100/100. His service was 100/100. Trust me I will be back within 2 weeks. As it’s 1 plus hour from where we are. Guys give this one a try. Won’t regret. From drinks to anything on the menu is amazing. Butter chicken is just totally different from what you guys have tried.
I recently celebrated my birthday last week at Nawabis, and the experience was beyond amazing. Even though the restaurant is usually closed on Mondays, the incredibly kind owner opened it just for us — we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, which made the evening feel so personal and exclusive. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff was warm, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance of the restaurant is stunning, with elegant aesthetics that made the whole night feel magical. Our photos turned out amazing thanks to the beautiful setting. We were even offered a private dining area, which added an extra special touch to the celebration. Huge thanks to the owner for being so understanding and generous. Nawabis truly made my birthday unforgettable, and I’m so grateful for the experience!
This is going to be my new go to for sure. Tried Galauti kebab, burra tikka, Methi Maharaja with garlic naan and Rabri gulab jamun. Everything was perfectly curated. ambience was super cozy and service is top notch.
